Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!
“Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu!” is the remake/reimagining of the 1998 Game “Pokémon: Yellow Version” which itself is a remake of “Pokémon: Red and Blue Version”. The Pokémon Company and Nintendo did a great job capitalizing on the hype of “Pokémon Go!” in 2017 and created this game that was an amazing bridge between older players of the franchise and newer ones, or even the children of the older generation. It was the same story with a bit more charm and acknowledgements to more recent characters and generations of the game.
“Pokémon: Yellow” was actually the first ever video game that I owned. This really attracted me into making a series out of my first play-through of its remake. The series focuses on completing the story of the game with both my commentary, and my personal stories of the Pokémon franchise as a whole. Being someone who grew up with the franchise/brand, and working with them for a short time, gave me a wealth of experience on the subject. As the series progressed, I incidentally grew my own story/lore out of the experience and began to weave my own, albeit “kooky”, story into it. Following the game’s main story-lines while incorporating fan lore, my own ideas, and user made event’s while playing the game.
