Project Overview
Book cover illustration made for my brother’s mystery book, published in spring of 2019. Originally only made as an electronic publication (e-pub), some of the design pieces were concept only. That is, until about a year later in spring 2020 with the physical paperback release.
Idea was to create that typical mysterious atmosphere by drawing a door left “ajar” during the evening or night time hours. Creation of the cover was going on simultaneously as the writing of the book, nevertheless the doorway/entrance itself does end up becoming a setting in one of the chapters.
